Bio: Laia Albó is an Audiovisual Systems Engineer from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). She has a master’s degree in Education and ICT (e-learning) from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). One of its main objectives is to conduct research in e-learning and emerging technologies in education which drove her to pursue a doctorate in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF. She has collaborated as a researcher at Telefonica-UPF chair, “Social Innovation in Education” which is especially dedicated for education innovation and MOOCs. Furthermore she had been working as a technical researcher during the first two years of the UCATx program. She is working on her doctoral research focused on investigating how technology can support professors in the design of blended learning approaches with MOOCs.
