Open release of LdShake 1.0, a social platform for teacher communities
The GTI is proud to announce the publication of the open release of LdShake v1.0, which is now available for download. The code is also available at GitHub, where updates can be followed, is open for others to contribute, etc.
LdShake (http://ldshake.upf.edu/) is a social platform that enables teacher communities to share and co-edit learning design solutions (educational materials, design of learning activities, etc.) using various authoring tools. LdShake is designed as an “integrative” platform where Web-based learning design tools can be integrated adopting the sharing and asynchronous co-editing features of LdShake.
The problem of supporting sharing, co-edition, enactment and reflection of learning designs is a relevant research topic in the Technology-Enhanced Learning community; see, for example, the workshop on learning design and teacher-led inquiry organized as part of the Alpine Rendezvous 2013 in which the GTI participated, or the METIS LLP project in which the GTI is leading the work package dealing with the provision of an Integrated Learning Design Environment.
