Melanie Torres is a research assistant in the GTI computer graphics group. She finished her double degree in computer science and telecommunications by the UPF. Her Bachelor Final Projects was a collaboration between the GTI, Simbiosys and PhySense and the subject was “Web-based visualisation of MRI cardiac images”.
Nowadays she is working in the WE3D project, a 3D Web Editor that wants to mitigate some of the problems that the industry has related to the machinery supplier by creating an application to accelerate certain stages of the workflow and to improve the overall efficiency. She is also making applications with Unity3D and the Google Cardboard.
